Good Shepherd Home is a 84-bed facility that provides 24-hour care in a safe, peaceful, comfortable environment. Our professionally educated, trained and certified staff includes nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, a Social Worker, Chaplain, Friend and Fun Coordinator, Dietician, and support staff who provide excellent hands-on attention to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, social and spiritual needs of residents.
Upon admission, a care team will conduct a personal assessment to help us learn our residents' preferences. For example, we encourage them to get up when they wake up (their schedule, not ours), eat their favorite foods, participate in group activities, and attend chapel services and bible studies if they choose. A personal, resident-centered care plan is designed for each resident. An average day includes delicious meals served from our buffet, therapy, group activities, chapel, field trips for those who are interested, special events and visits by family and friends. Many residents, along with their family members, enjoy relaxing in our comfortable lounge areas, with coffee and fresh baked items.
Our Shepherd's Suite provides a private environment for our residents and their family members during their last days together.
The "Early Riser's Cafe" has become a resident favorite offering coffee and fresh bakery at the break of day.
The Friendship Room offers an array of activities from cooking, entertainment, manicures, games, movies, hobbies, fun and visiting.
Our Down Home Diner is for those needing assistance with meals. Residents are able to eat whenever they choose. The Diner offers a variety of choices for meals.
Other amenities include beautiful new bathing areas with fireplaces and a spa, and smaller intimate dining spaces.
Our focus is truly to create an environment the each resident can feel comfortable calling "home."
